Vehicular Inspection and Testing Site was put up by ViTEC in accordance to Republic Act 8749, more popularly known as the Clean Air Act of 1999. This intends to regulate the influx of vehicles from abroad entering the country through the Subic Bay Freeport Zone. It includes the regulation of smoke-emission as well as assessment to ensure safety of automobiles that are usually converted from right-hand drive to left-hand through the dangerous and unreliable process of cut and weld.
