The top 20 qualifiers in the Team Prima Monthly Open will try to outdo each other for the championships title starting today at the the Gaisano Bowlingplex in Banilad.


Analily Lao leads the cast of a field composed Kim Lao, Alexis Sy, Junjun Gothong, Inday Degracia, Bel Suelto, Jr., Germaine Uang, Jake Yap, Jomar Jumapao, Clarence Tiu, Ed San Jose, Edwin Apawan, Clark Tiu, Wilbert Yu, Kido Veloso, Edison Ho, John Gasataya, Art Dacumos, Rocci Damole and Ed Aniñon.

Yu only finished third in the July battle with 1,845 pinfalls but still got the finals ticket because the top two finishers already are qualified for the Bowler of the Year action.

The top bowler for the month of May, Tapaya ruled the July edition, posting 1,881 pinfalls followed by Jun-jun Gothong, the best for the month of January.

However, Gothong and Jumapao already advanced into the season-ending Bowler of the Year tilt, allowing runners-up Ed San Jose and Alfred de la Cerna to grab the December and November slots.

Gothong, who earned automatic berth to the final for topping the elimination round, bested Jumapao of Sacred Heart School-Jesuit by knocking down 245 pinfalls as against the latter's 188 output.
