Ayon kay Dr. Gino Silvestre, Medical Officer IV ng DOH at tumatayong Malariatologist na nakabase sa Binangonan, Rizal, patuloy ang ginagawa nilang pagmo-monitor sa lalawigan, partikular sa mga bayan ng San Mateo kung saan naitala ang pinakamataas na bilang na umaabot sa 71 katao ang tinamaan ng nasabing sakit; Tanay, Angono, Taytay, Rodriguez (Montalban) at lungsod ng Antipolo dahil sa pagkalat ng killer malaria sa buong probinsiya.
Nabatid pa mula kay Silvestre na karamihan sa mga tinamaan ay mga batang nasa edad 1 hanggang 5-taong gulang habang ang pinakamatanda ay nasa edad 70.
