[Summary] => Ousted President Joseph Estrada will not be "stressed out" when he takes the witness stand at the Sandiganbayan on March 15, Special Prosecutor Dennis Villa-Ignacio said yesterday.

"We want him to be as comfortable as possible inside the courtroom," he said.

"We will not stress him out. If he says he is not feeling well, we will not push it. We just want him to be present inside the courtroom."

Dr. Christopher Mow told reporters that aside from some discomfort resulting from sitting in court for the daylong appearances, Estrada was physically able to appear at his trial.

"From a medical standpoint, he is physically fit to testify," said Mow, a bone surgeon at Stanford Medical Center in California.

Barring hitches, Estrada is set to testify before the Sandiganbayan special division on March 15.

With his new titanium knees, detained President Joseph Estrada can now enjoy a better sex life than in the years before his surgery last December, his United States-based knee surgeon said yesterday.

"I advised him to return to his normal life," Dr. Christopher Mow replied when asked whether the 68-year-old deposed leader — a known womanizer — could still have sex since he is still recovering from his knee replacement operation.

"Most patients ask me about that. That came up in the discussion. I advise Estrada to return to his normal life and he could have sex after three months," ani Mow.

Estrada appeared to be recovering well from the four-hour procedure on his knees, which suffered from osteoarthritis, said his spokesman, former Maguindanao congressman Didagen Dilangalen.

"He’s still inside the operating room, but we were informed the operation is over. It was successful," Dilangalen said.
