Ang mailap pa ring gintong medalya sa Asian Games ang pinakapuntirya ng national taekwondo team sa Doha, Qatar sa Disyembre. 


Sinabi ni national coach Stephen Fernandez na inaasahan niyang magiging maganda rin ang kampanya ng mga Filipino taekwondo jins sa 15th Asian Games sa Doha, Qatar kagaya ng sa 23rd Southeast Asian Games noong 2005. 

"Ito na ‘yon talagang main event natin for this year," wika ni Fernandez. "Nagtapos tayo last year sa Southeast Asian Games and this year magtatapos naman tayo sa Asian Games."
