                    [Title] => Tyson, Holyfield meet again
                    [Summary] =>

There is apparently a threat by someone on Twitter to execute a shooting rampage at the Broadway theater that's playing "Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth." This has added something sadly lacking in Tyson's one-man show: any sense of drama.

The urge struck me about halfway through Mike Tyson's latest adventure, just after he told the audience about how his mother loved the bottle more than she loved him. Or maybe it was when the big video screens showed a young Tyson serving as a pallbearer for Cus D'Amato, the man who molded his boxing career and the only man he really loved.

Maybe man want to be the best or prove somebody wrong or simply because man enjoy making other men miserable. The same is also true in sports.

Michael Jordan's desire was simply to beat everybody to a pulp. He even indirectly stifled the basketball growth on some of his teammates because of his competitive fire. You can put Michael Schumacher on the same page with MJ.

I was elated over both the coverage and the outcome. Arman dela Cruz dethroned WBC International Minimumweight champion Ernesto Rubillar while former world champion Malcolm Tuñacao regained respect by knocking out towering Indonesian champion Ringgo Jaguar and claiming the vacant WBC International Superflyweight title.

You would be, too, if you were the only one who regularly staged international boxing championships in your country on a regular basis.

"It gets frustrating," Elorde told The STAR. "We try so hard to put up world title fights here, and we often lose money, but we wouldn’t mind if we got support from media, sponsors and the government. And people don’t recognize our good new boxers because the media doesn’t support them."
