                    [Title] => Arthro/Kontra Arthritis-Skygo scores anew over Aquastars
                    [Summary] =>

The Arthro/Kontra Arthritis and Skygo backed Tribu Sugbu came strong in the third period and neutralized the scoring rampage of Carcar's adopted son Chris Carretas to pull off a 78-71 victory over the Talisay City Aquastars in an exhibition game played at the Carcar multi-purpose gym last Wednesday.

Although Tribu Sugbu failed to contain James Laygo, who topscored for the Aquastars with 21 points, he was no longer productive in the fourth period as he was slowed down by the alternating defense of Mark Ababon, Doroteo Almacin, Ritchum Dennison and Jerome Gadiane.

With Bruce Dacia, Leo Bat-og and Rino Berami going ice-cold, Morsie Akad, Chris Carretas, Kim Calo and Jessie Lumantas provided the offensive spark when it mattered most for the Aquastars of head coach and MLSDF executive director Eddie Ybañez.

The series is now tied at one game apiece as Valencia took the series opener at its turf, 91-84, last September 20.

Ardy Larong poured in 15 of his 26 points in the first half to lead Hapee's offense. He was too hot that he almost couldn't miss despite being hounded by Valencia's pesky defense.
