[Title] => Bus, taxi operators should pay taxes, too
[Summary] => Working together with the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) is all set to implement tax rules on bus and taxi operators. This is something that is just, proper and about time. Transport operators have been getting away with tax free profits for so long now.

[Title] => Taxes and other depressing things
[Summary] => Happy Easter! And welcome back to the real world! After that long workless week that should have been devoted to prayer rather than the beaches, here we are again slowly trooping back to the salt mines. Talk of a blue Monday, this has got to be it.
First item on my agenda today is finalizing my income tax return. For the first time in my life, I had to ask an accountant to do my returns this year. It has become too complicated for me to do alone. All that input and output stuff simply drove me nuts.

He is not the President only of his family or friends; he is the President of the Philippines, with a responsibility to all Filipinos.

It is an eerily quiet morning in Quezon City as I write this, as it usually is when a sitting president delivers the State of the Nation Address.
