                    [Summary] => A major reorganization is in the offing at the Philippine National Police with the 20 generals to retire this year, PNP chief Director General Hermogenes Ebdane Jr. said yesterday.


The ranks of the PNP will also continue to be cleared of scalawags, according to Interior and Local Government Secretary Jose Lina.


The National Police Commission (Napolcom), which Lina chairs, will take the lead in removing unwanted members of the PNP by expediting the investigation of cases filed against erring policemen.
