[Title] => Concern for Mindanao
[Summary] => In our conversation aboard the presidential Lear jet, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo expressed satisfaction over the completion of the Davao International Airport which she inaugurated last Monday. The infrastructure will facilitate the movement of travelers and investors to Mindanao. In addition to the facility, the creation of a more efficient and less expensive system of carrying fruits and other agricultural products from Mindanao to the Visayas and Luzon is accelerating the growth and progress of the strife-torn island.

[Title] => A wasted Economic Summit, a wasted Senate investigation
[Summary] => It didnt require a genius to conclude ab initio that the much-publicized National Economic Summit which took place yesterday at the Manila Hotel would be a futile exercise in polemics and talk-talk without direction.

The President, her Cabinet, Congress, and the judiciary have to work together to address them. What we need is not more debate but more political will the guts to go into action.
