Thunderbird 2 ran away with the overall title in the Copa de Casino Español Golf Tournament, which ended yesterday at the par-72 Cebu Country Club.


The team scored a total of 28-under-par 136 points in the four-man event where only the three best scores in the Modified Stableford Scoring System counted.


The scoring format awards six points for a double-eagle, five for a hole-in-one, four for eagle, three for birdie, two for par, and one for bogey.

                    [Summary] => Ed Manzano withstood the rain and the soggy course and emerged as the overall lowest net champion of the Christmas Charity Fun Golf Tournament at the Cebu Country Club last Friday.


Edwin Espina had the lowest gross shooting ten-over-par 82 strokes.


Manzano had nines of 43 and 44 for a total gross of 87 strokes.  Less his handicap of 20, he finished with a net 67.


The Friends Forever For Charity Foundation put the tournament together as a venue to share their blessings to the less fortunate.

                    [Summary] => Ramontito Garcia, a six-time club champion, once again displayed the form that earned him so many titles at the Cebu Country Club as he bagged the lowest gross honors last weekend in the 6th Tomodachi Tournament.


Garcia carded a gross score of one-under-par 71 strokes and slipped past another multi-winner of the club title, Carl Almario, and former junior golf champion Andre Borromeo to win the title.


Borromeo however got a major consolation as his team topped Division A of the tournament organized by the Japanese community.
