[Summary] => • I would like to greet my husband, Yong, a very, very happy birthday! He just celebrated his birthday last Saturday, September 2. My very youthful husband is now thirty-something years old - and said his age stopped at thirty-three! Sige na nga! Haha! We, together with our kids, had lunch at Mizu, one of my favorite Japanese restaurants in town located at the Waterfront Hotel in Lahug (my treat of course!). We all sang the birthday song to him and they gave us a free super yummy chocolate cake and 10% discount cards.

(First of Two Parts)
The tsunami in Java, Indonesia that happened last Monday reminded me of the tsunami in December 2004. No, we were not there, thank God, but we were actually on board a cruise ship coming from Penang, Malaysia and on our way to Phuket! Had we docked earlier (apparently, we missed the tsunami by a mere eight hours), who knows what would have happened!

• Could it be true that after they became Born-again Christian, a young couple has made a "vow of purity"? Does that mean that they are, uh, "celibate" despite persistent rumors that they’re now living together (without the benefit of matrimony)? You can spot the sweethearts from miles away because they go around wearing invisible halos, acting as if they’re the only children of God and the rest of us are children of a lesser god.

In a recent chat with The FREEMAN, she recalls with a laugh that many-from fans to her talent management outfit-weren't too happy at first to learn that she was marrying popular eye doctor Dr. Yong Larrazabal nearly eight years ago. This was simply because she was 21 and speeding her way to superstardom. But she dropped her enviable career anyway, sharing that even after all these years, she hardly misses, save for singing, anything that is showbiz.

That very simply is how Donna Cruz describes her life since she (semi?)-retired from showbiz seven years ago after she got married to (dentist) Yong Larrazabal and settled down in Cebu.

"This is the kind of life that I’ve always dreamed," Donna told Funfare. "A quiet family life."
