BALER, Aurora – The prosecution team in the celebrated drug case involving four detained Chinese nationals, who were charged in connection with the raid on a clandestine shabu laboratory in Dingalan town last August, will present no less than 14 witnesses in the trial even as the Regional Trial Court (RTC) here has set marathon hearings to speed up its resolution.

BALER, Aurora — The four Chinese nationals arrested during a raid on a clandestine shabu laboratory in Dingalan last August have pleaded not guilty during their arraignment here recently.


The four — Sy Tho, Whang Tha Ti, Chin Na Chua and Chen Chien — assisted by Chinese interpreter Ann Yao, entered pleas of not guilty when they were arraigned on charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 in the sala of Judge Armando Yanga of the Regional Trial Court Branch 66.

The acting vice mayor of Dingalan, Aurora, who is suspected to be the protector of the recently busted clandestine shabu laboratory, was charged yesterday morning for the manufacture of dangerous drugs before the Department of Justice (DOJ).


Head Agent Roel Bolivar, of the National Bureau of Investigation-Reaction Arrest and Interdiction Division (NBI-RAID), said they filed charges against acting Dingalan Vice Mayor Hiram Edgar Liu, of Barangay Dabil-Dabilan, Dingalan, Aurora.
