The merger of the parent companies of AgrEvo Environmental Health and
Rhone-Poulenc has created a worldwide leader in the production and supply of
active ingredients and concentrates that are found in many of the world's best
known consumer pest control products.

The new entity is called Aventis Environmental Science, a separate business
line of Aventis CropScience SA that was created in December last year from the
merger between Hoechst AG (Germany) and Rhone-Poulenc SA (France).

Albert Evangelista, manager of Aventis Environmental Science in the
Philippines, will lead the
