The Court of Appeals Cebu station has disposed close to 5,000 cases in the Visayas since it started operation two years ago.


As the appellate court Cebu station marks its second anniversary tomorrow, it reported that despite of the recurring threats of budgetary crisis it was able to carry out the primary purpose of bringing tangible justice closer to the homes of litigants from the Visayas.

The CA 18th Division presided by executive justice Arsenio Magpale yesterday issued a 60-day temporary restraining order against Menchavez enjoining him
from continuing the trial today.
