Supt. Pedro Tango, Albay police director, said the mayor and members of the municipal council left on board two vans from the provincial police office at about 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

Some 3,000 placard-bearing Tiwi folk denounced the continued detention of Mayor Patria Gutierrez, Vice Mayor Ruth Corral and councilors David Beato, Jesus Consulta, Rey Custodio, Arlene Recierdo, Saturnino Clavecilla, Liberato Ulysses Pacis, Lorenzo Claret, Orlando Lew Velasco and outgoing Sangguniang Kabataan federation president Bernardo Costo.

"If Joker will not heed our request to hear the testimony of Marcelo, we will move to remove the investigation from the Blue Ribbon Committee. That is allowed under Senate rules," Pimentel warned.
