Property giant Megaworld Corp. has raised P147.1 million from a fresh round of sale of shares in its real estate investment trust company, MREIT Inc.

According to the company, it is the first live studio of its kind in the Philippines. “Two brands, two experiences, one company – Solaire – positioned across the full market,” Bloomberry president and chief operating officer Gregory Francis Hawkins said. “To do this, Bloomberry has made a deliberate investment in building and controlling its own technology, developed in-house, by our own people. We are no longer dependent on third-party platforms to execute our vision,” he said. Bloomberry said the studio’s design addresses one of the industry’s longstanding challenges: building confidence in online gaming by making gameplay more visible and transparent. The company also emphasized its commitment to responsible gaming, robust know-your-customer procedures and data security.
