Agbayani obtained 840,689 votes over his lone opponent, Marietta Primicias-Goco’s 64,109 votes.

But his brother, Luis "Louie" Agbayani, lost to Rep. Arthur Celeste in the first district congressional fight.

Louie is the outgoing mayor of Sual town which he has served for three consecutive terms. He got 47,310 votes against Celeste’s 96,225.
