Acting Pasay City Mayor Allan Panaligan recently approved four garbage disposal contracts covering 201 barangays in the city at a cost lower than the previous waste management deal entered into by suspended Mayor Wenceslao "Peewee" Trinidad.


Panaligan said the four new contracts they signed with R.M. Maintenance Services, Halrey Construction, Inc. and Greenline Onyx Envirotech Phils., Inc., would cost the city P177,960,326.70 for 2007.

Acting Pasay City Mayor Allan Panaligan has ordered  the strict implementation of the city’s Traffic Management Code.


In particular, Panaligan noted that Section 136 of the city’s Traffic Management Code (Ordinance No. 2916, Series-2004) should be observed.


He explained that based on the amended Section 136, all private and public vehicles, though under the color-coding scheme, will not be apprehended even if passing through the major thoroughfares and service roads within the city from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

Security Guard George Bang-a, detailed at the Leg Hauling Security Detachment located along Jose street in Malibay, Pasay, accused Panaligan of "abuse of authority" after the latter instructed his security escorts to confiscate his service firearm, security license and company ID last Saturday.
