                    [Summary] => TACURONG CITY — Last week’s death of Pentagon leader Faisal Marohombsar has only emboldened his followers to break up into smaller and independent gangs to pursue their criminal activities, local officials and residents said yesterday.


Two new gangs have reportedly emerged from the Pentagon: the Dragon Group and Suicide Bomber Squad, which have been blamed for a spate of bombings in commercial centers in Central Mindanao.


The attacks were said to have been aimed at intimidating businessmen to pay "protection money" to the new band of extortionists.

"We will hunt him down until he is recaptured," the President vowed yesterday. 


Marohombsar resurfaced in Mindanao following his escape last Wednesday from the high-security National Anti-Kidnapping Task Force (NAKTAF) detention cell at Camp Crame in Quezon City.
