9 traffickers nabbed, drug den shut in separate Zambo operations

COTABATO CITY, Philippines — Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement 9 arrested nine shabu traffickers and closed down a drug den in separate operations within just three days.
Radio reports on Tuesday, August 4, quoted local executives and officials of PDEA 9 as saying that eight male shabu peddlers, who connived in operating a drug den, were entrapped on Saturday in Zamboanga City.
Bryan Babang, regional director of PDEA 9, said the eight suspects were immediately frisked and detained by their agents and policemen after selling to them shabu right in their drug den in Barangay Lunzuran in Zamboanga City.
Local executives said the suspects together facilitated pot sessions in their drug den for buyers of their illegal merchandise.
PDEA 9 agents and operatives from different units of the Police Regional Office 9 confiscated from them P81,000 worth of shabu during the tradeoff in their drug den in a secluded area in Barangay Lunzuran, an operation planned with the help of city and barangay officials.
On Monday, PDEA 9 agents and plainclothes police operatives arrested a male trafficker after turning over to them shabu during an entrapment operation in Barangay Tiguma in Pagadian City, the capital of Zamboanga del Sur province.
Babang said their agents and policemen involved in the operation had seized from the suspect, a resident of Barangay Payong in Sultan Naga Dimaporo town in Lanao del Norte, P680,000 worth of shabu.
