Lilas Binisaya malampuson, mabulukon!

Nagmalampuson ang opening ceremonies sa Lilas Binisaya Film Festival sa Sugbo niadtong Biyernes sa Cine Oriente Theater. Ang maong kalihukan parte sa Cinemas in the Region program nga gipunduhan sa National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).

Atol sa opening, nitambong ang Sugbuanong aktres nga si Pilar Pilapil kinsa mipaambit sa iyang inspirational speech. Gisugdan dayun kini og screening sa sikat nga Cebuano film kaniadtong 1970’s nga mao ang Manok ni San Pedro ni Joe Macachor.

Matud sa festival direktor nga si Bambi Beltran kinsa miyembro sa National Cinema Committee nga ikatulo nani nga film festival karung tuiga sa Sugbo. “This is actually the third year that the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) funded a local film festival here in Cebu. This is the first time that we did it in a very public place here in Cine Oriente,” nagkanayon siya.

“We chose Cine Oriente because it’s one of the oldest theatres here in Cebu. In Colon which is the oldest street in the whole Philippines because we actually want to promote and support Cebuano film culture. So we think this is significant to do it here because those old films were also shown here,” dugang pa niya.

Dugang usab niya nga mamili sila’g short film arun isangka sa mas dako nga film festival. “The best short film that we will find here, we will bring to Cinema Rehiyon Film Festival--that’s another NCCA Cinema Committee funded project--a bigger festival because we gather all the best from all over the Philippines and Cebu is going to host the next one. Seventh Cinema Rehiyon Film Festival will be hosted by Cebu in August next year.”

Apil pud nga gipasalida ang mga award-winning Cebuano short films nga nakakuha og national award sa CineManila, Cinemalaya ug Gawad Urian. Kini mao ang “Saranghae My Tutor” ni Victor Villanueva, “Doktora” ni Chistian Linaban ug “To Siomai Love” ni Remton Siga Zuasola.
