Mura gin ang tinitira
Most of the cast members of Star Cinema’s SupahPapalicious are named after Roman and Greek goddesses, naiba lang kay Mura who plays a brewhound macho na dating Bacchus. Bacchus is, of course, the god of wine and revelry.
Tinanong ko tuloy si Mura, a freelancer, if in real life, he’s a descendant of Bacchus. “Dati po ‘yon sa probinsya. Gin po ang tinitira ko,” says the 32 year-old midget, a provincemate of Star Cinema ace publicist (Tita) Ethel Ramos.
Before the press, isa-isang tinanong ang cast led by Vhong Navarro kung ano nga bang ‘supa’ or super na katangian nila. I got touched when it was Mura’s turn. Aniya, “Super kayod po ako para may maipadala ako sa probinsiya, kasi nagagalit sila pag wala akong ipinapadala.” Tingin ko kasi, he isn’t exactly in his early thirties, he strikes me us the sum of three and two, a five year-old talented boy who’s forces to toil to fend for his family. Therefore, a victim of child labor!
A native of Guinobatan (a certified kababayan of Elizabeth Oropesa), Mura—minus his age—must inspire the young at heart. That is, to dream big inspite of smallness.

After Lani Mercado has spoken, the ball seems to be in Ruffa Gutierrez’s hands. Ani Lani, next time raw na magkukrus muli ang landas nila ni Ruffa ay babatiin na niya ito, even wanting to have the Gutierrez family at a dinner.
Nag-decree na kasi si Ruffa that she won’t initiate the pagbati anymore to avoid getting embarrassed. But surely, knowing Ruffa’s natural congeniality, can she afford to decline the “alok-bati” of Lolit Solis’s alaga?
But Lani, make it 60 seconds, ha?
