PSC strategic planning sa Nov. 5-7

MANILA, Philippines — Pamumunuan ni Philippine Sports Commission chairman William ‘Butch’ Ramirez ang strategic planning para sa panukalang pakikipagtambal sa Department of Education ukol sa grassroots program sa Nobyembre 5-7 sa Davao City.

Ipapanalisa ng PSC at ng DepEd ang kanilang pagtutulungan para sa naturang programa.

“We hope to be able to train our teacher-coa­ches and get them up to speed with the developments in different sports,” sabi ni Ramirez. “The more knowledgeable they are, all the better they can teach our youth.”

Tatalakayin din sa planning session ang isang uni­fied sports calendar para maihanay kasama ng Ba­tang Pinoy, Philippine National Games, Regio­nal Athletic meets at Palarong Pambansa.

“We have to admit that resources to fund the trai­ning and participation of athletes are limited so we have to be able to give them a well-planned ca­­lendar so they can also do their own planning,” ani Ramirez.

Nauna nang nagpulong ang PSC at ang DepEd sa Philsports Complex sa Pasig City nong nakaraang linggo.

Matapos ang strategic planning sa DepEd magdaraos naman ang komisyon ng consultative mee­ting at planning kasama ang Philippine Olympic Committee at mga National Sports Associations.
