May Rousey-Holm rematch?
MANILA, Philippines – Gumawa si Holly Holm ng pinakamalaking upsets sa kasaysayan ng Ultimate Fighting Championship matapos ipatikim kay Ronda Rousey ang kauna-unahan nitong kabiguan sa mixed martial arts.
Asahan nang magkakaroon ng rematch.
Ayon sa ilang reports, posibleng maitakda ang Holm-Rousey II sa UFC 200 sa July 9, 2016 sa bagong arena sa Las Vegas.
“Obviously we don’t make fights the night of the fight, but the rematch makes a lot of sense,” sabi ni UFC chief Dana White sa UFC.com story. “The rematch is what people want to see. I mean, it changes a lot of things. The (Cris) Cyborg fight, some other stuff we were working on,” dagdag pa nito.
Ginamit ni Holm ang kanyang world class boxing skills para pabagsakin si Rousey sa second round at agawin ang bantamweight title sa main event ng UFC 193 sa Etihad Stadium sa Melbourne, Australia.
Kumonekta si Holm ng isang left straight kasunod ang kanyang sipa na tumama sa leeg ni Rousey, ang dating Olympic bronze medalist.
“Obviously, she was completely bummed out and depressed,” wika ni White kay Rousey.
“Holly was the right fight. Ronda had never faced anybody who uses the range and distance that she does. This woman has four times more fights than Ronda does. She’s been a world champion. This was the right fight,” dagdag pa nito.
