Cesar at Diego, mas naging solid

YSTAR - Baby E - Pang-masa

Cesar Montano is excited for son, Diego Loyzaga, who has two new films to his name, which both will be released soon.

These are How To Love Mr. Heartless, with Sue Ramirez as his leading lady. And Ang Babaeng Nawawala Sa Sarili, na ang kapareha naman niya ay ang baguhang si Ayanna Misola.

Ang tagal din bago nagkasundo ng mag-amang ito. As Cesar didn’t want to recognize him, at first.

Pero ngayon, hindi lang sila magkasundo na, but as close as can be, too. As they are both in the movie, na labis-labis, pinag-uusapan.

Titled Maid In Malacalañang, Cesar plays the late president Ferdinand Marcos.

Diego plays naman now President Bongbong Marcos.

The Maid in Malacañang are played by Elizabeth Oropesa, Beverly Salviejo at Karla Estrada.

Playing the First Lady, Mrs. Imelda Marcos, is Ruffa Gutierrez.

Maids In Malacañang, which reportedly will be released soon, is about the last few days ng pamimirmihan ng Marcoses sa Malacañang Palace.

Tirso, tumatak sa Guy and Pip

In our case, we are excited to the max sa pagkakahirang ng Malacañang sa former matinee idol na si Tirso Cruz III as Chairman of the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP).

Pip (as his friends call Tirso Cruz to date) replaces Liza Diño-Seguerra, who has headed the Council for years.

At this writing, Pip reportedly has taken his Oath of Office from President Bongbong Marcos, Jr. The two are almost of the same age. Pip is 70; President Bongbong, 64.

Asked if he (President Bongbong) was aware that Pip was a matineed idol of his time, PBBM reportedly merely smiled.

Pip is still known as the other half of the popular Guy and Pip tandem.

Guy (Nora Aunor) was just proclaimed as National Artist for Films.

Pip still remains active in showbiz to date.

He remains in the cast of the popular action series, FPJ’s Ang Frobinsyano, which topbills Coco Martin.

Zanjoe, tanggap na ‘senior’ na

Zanjoe Marudo, the most senior among the performers invited to join the upcoming ASAP event, which reportedly will be staged in the following venue: New York Performing Arts Theater, Resorts World in Manila; then on July 23, Kings Theater in Brooklyn, New York, Aug. 6, Warfield Theater, San Francisco; Aug. 12 and Saban Theater, Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California, Aug. 14.

He has no particular number as a performer, Zanjoe admits. But the idea that he will be a spectator of every performance, excites him, Zanjoe admits.

“At least, part of the audience ka, which I’ve not experienced and wants to feel again.”
