AiAi in love na sa sireno!

Back in town si AiAi delas Alas, who was in the U.S. during the Holy Week, purposely to be with her youngest and only daughter, Sofia, who turned 18 recently.

She is now back to her taping for Dyesebel, where she plays the adopted mermaid Mom of Dyesebel, na, of course, ay isang sirena rin.

Guess what, excited si AiAi sa Dyesebel, aside, of course, from the fact that playing Banak, her mermaid character is a dream come true for her. As she said: Big fan daw siya of Dyesebel. Lahat daw ng adaptation ng komiks serial na ito ni Mars Ravelo ay parang napanood na niya.

Maliban nga raw sa first adaptation ng nobelang ito, na lumabas sa Pilipino komiks in the early 50’s, wala raw yata siyang Dyesebel, mapa-pelikula o TV man na ‘di niya napanood.

Kaya alam daw niyang ang only TV version nito ay ang pinangunahan ni Marian Rivera and aired on GMA 7. The rest ay pawang film version: The Dyesebel ni Edna Luna in 1953, directed by the National Artist director, Gerry de Leon, and with Jaime de la Rosa playing Fredo; ang version ni Batangas Governor Vilma Santos in 1973, Si Dyesebel at ang Mahiwagang Kabibe, with Romeo Miranda (nasaan na kaya siya ngayon?) as her leading man: ang version ni Alma Moreno in 1978; Alice Dixon in 1990 at Charlene Gonzales in 1996.

In any case, the other reason, according to sources close to Ai Ai, kung bakit everytime may taping siya for Dyesebel ay excited siya, is because ang isa sa mga artistang lalaki na lumabas bilang sireno sa series, si Jay Gonzaga, ay apple of the eye raw ng Comedy Concert Queen.

Speaking of Melai and Jason, they finally have found an appropriate name for their panganay, born last March, Amelia Lucille.

“Ako kasi, I want a name na ang sound ay mabait. Mabuti na lamang at ako ang binigyan ng privilege ni Melai na mamili ng pangalan ng aming panganay. Pero, approved sa kanya ang name na Amelia Lucille,” paliwanag ni Jason.

In any case, ang hindi pa tiyak ay kung ano ang magiging pet name ng bata. Uunahin daw muna ang binyag ni Amelia Lucille.
