In response to businessman Mr. Roberto V. Ongpin’s claim made in a paid advertisement published in The Philippine STAR that ABS-CBN News “never published his letter in full,” I would like to point out the following:

1) abs-cbnNEWS.com published Mr. Ongpin’s letter in full twice:

– on June 7, 2011, as a rejoinder to the article written by Lala Rimando on several Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) transactions: http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/business/05/26/11/philex-mining-saga-how-first-pacific-acquired-control

– on June 10, 2011 in the feedback section: http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/sites/default/files/others/downloads/20110601_RVO_response.PDF

2) On June 10, 2011, we also informed Mr. Ongpin via e-mail that we had already published his letter in full.
