Microsoft, Informatics team up to improve student employability

With a shared mission to deliver world-class, up-to-date information technology education and ensure students’ employability in today’s global marketplace, Microsoft Philippines and Informatics, one of the country’s premiere IT institutions, recently partnered for the Microsoft IT Academy Program.

“As a school specializing in Information Technology, we provide our students with skills that will make their entry into the workforce as easy as possible, teaching them current technology trends, ensuring that our curriculum matches what the industry needs, and providing them with optimum learning environments to prepare them for the challenges that lie ahead,” said Yolanda Soliveres, assistant vice president, Informatics Philippines.

“What businesses look for are real skills for the real world that only industry certifications given by the technology source – like Microsoft, for Microsoft Certified Professionals - can guarantee,” added Soliveres. “This partnership will help us offer top quality education on Microsoft technologies, guide our students toward academic and career potential, and assist our faculty with their professional development.”

The Microsoft IT Academy Program is a complete toolkit of IT education designed for academic institutions of all types. The subscription-based program includes classroom curriculum, online learning courses, certification instruction, and other resources focused on promoting employability and life-long learning.
