BOC earns P12.3 million in negotiated sales

MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has generated P12.3 million in revenue from the negotiated sale of abandoned and forfeited goods, including four luxury cars owned by detained contractors Curlee and Sarah Discaya.
Customs Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno said they have disposed all 13 Discaya cars confiscated in 2025.
Sold recently were the Discayas’ GMC XL Yukon Denali (P3.209 million), Cadillac Escalade (P3.750 million), Maserati Levante Modena (P2.008 million) and GMC Yukon Denali (P3.309 million).
Other forfeited items disposed by the BOC include luxury vehicles, truck replacement parts, steel tubes and assorted goods.
Proceeds from the negotiated sales will be remitted to the Bureau of the Treasury, bringing the total value to P114.74 million, Nepomuceno said.
“Today’s completion of the disposal of all remaining Discaya vehicles reflects the BOC’s firm commitment to transparency, accountability and decisive action in the management of forfeited assets,” Nepomuceno said.
