Marcos Jr. inspects Quezon City drainage project

MANILA, Philippines - As the government ramps up flood mitigation efforts ahead of the rainy season, President Marcos inspected yesterday a drainage improvement project along G. Araneta Avenue in Quezon City.
The drainage improvements include the installation of two 1.50-meter-diameter high-density polyethylene pipes, excavation and backfilling, construction of manholes and inlet structures, building of catch basins as well as restoration of roads and pavement.
The project is expected to be completed this month.
Marcos said a pumping station would be constructed by the end of the year or next year to prevent flooding in the area.
