Teen nabbed for woman’s slay

LAGUNA, Philippines — An 18-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly killing a woman in Pakil town in this province.

The victim’s body was found in a vacant lot behind a hospital in Barangay Rizal on Friday, according to Pakil police chief Maj. Glenn Cuevas.

The victim, whose identity was not immediately known, bore injuries in the head believed caused by a hard object.

Probers said they were able to identify the suspect by reviewing video footage of a closed-circuit television camera installed in the area.

Probers are eyeing robbery as the motive for the killing.
