MANILA, Philippines — The remains of six overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who died of natural causes in Kuwait arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 on Monday.

According to the Department of Migrant Workers, the remains were flown on a commercial flight from Kuwait International Airport following the resumption of its operations after its closure due to the Middle East war in February.

Also repatriated were the remains of a five-year-old boy who died in an accident in Kuwait.

The Migrant Workers Office in Kuwait provided legal and medical assistance to the child’s parents, both OFWs, including support for the mother, who was also injured in the incident.
