MANILA, Philippines — The University of Santo Tomas will begin implementing a remote work arrangement every Monday starting tomorrow for most administrative offices, as part of UST’s energy conservation efforts.

“The public is advised to contact the offices directly through their virtual channels for a possible rescheduling of Monday transactions,” the UST said on social media.

It advised stakeholders that the cashier’s and accounting offices as well as the offices of the registrar and alumni relations are among those that would observe a common work-from-home arrangement every Monday.

Academic units would continue operations as scheduled, with the Miguel de Benavides library open from Monday to Saturday to accommodate stakeholders.

“Skills-based courses, such as laboratory, clinical and similar courses, will retain onsite implementation. NSTP and ROTC courses will proceed as scheduled, unless otherwise prevented by emerging circumstances,” the UST said, referring to the National Service Training Program and the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps.

The university remains committed to contribute to national development efforts, including the promotion and integration of renewable energy sources and sustainable practices, the UST added.
