Sara warns public vs impersonators
MANILA, Philippines - Vice President Sara Duterte cautioned the public amid reports that some people are using her name in fraudulent activities.
“I am warning the public as unscrupulous individuals are impersonating me on the messaging platform Signal,” Duterte said in a statement.
She advised people to exercise caution if they receive suspicious messages, especially from those claiming to be the Vice President.
“Do not engage, give out any personal information and, most importantly, do not send money. I never ask for any favors, financial or otherwise, from the public,” Duterte said.
The public should be careful as unscrupulous individuals are taking advantage, especially with the current crisis brought by the war in the Middle East, the vice president added.
