437 ordinance violators arrested in Quezon City

MANILA, Philippines — Up to 437 people were rounded up in Quezon City on Monday night for violating the 10 p.m. curfew for minors, the ban on public drinking and other ordinances.
Over 740 officers of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) enforced “Oplan Bulabog” and “Galugad” operations across the city.
In coordination with the local government, checkpoint operations were conducted along Quirino Highway and 15 other areas in the city.
QCPD director Brig. Gen. Randy Glenn Silvio said 437 people were apprehended for violating city ordinances. Of the number, 131 minors were curfew violators.
Police said 213 people were nabbed after they were caught half-naked in public places, 60 for drinking on the streets and 33 for late-night karaoke.
The city’s Task Force Disiplina issued ordinance violation tickets to violators, with fines estimated at P437,000.
