MANILA, Philippines — Residents in three cities will enjoy special non-working days this month in observance of local founding and charter anniversaries.

The holiday proclamations covered two cities in Negros Occidental and one in Metro Manila.

Proclamations 1187 and 1188 declared March 31 a special non-working day in Sipalay and Himamaylan in Negros Occidental, respectively, for the celebration of the cities’ charter anniversaries.

Meanwhile, Proclamation 1186 declared March 27 a special non-working day in Las Piñas City for the commemoration of its 119th founding and 29th cityhood anniversaries.

Malacañang said the holiday declaration would allow residents to fully participate in the celebrations.

All proclamations were signed on March 9 by Executive Secretary Ralph Recto by the authority of President Marcos.
