MANILA, Philippines — An abandoned parcel, which contained nearly four kilos of shabu worth P26.9 million, was intercepted at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport complex in Pasay City, the Philippine National Police said.

PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said the package was detected during a routine x-ray screening and inspection at a cargo handling facility at around 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

According to the Bureau of Customs and the Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group, the shabu was placed inside a hotdog roller machine.

The contraband was turned over to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency for custody.
