14 cops in rape-robbery case charged before Napolcom

MANILA, Philippines — Administrative complaints have been filed against 14 members of the Philippine National Police (PNP)-Drug Enforcement Group-Calabarzon tagged in a rape-robbery case that reportedly occurred during an anti-narcotics operation in Bacoor, Cavite.
The 18-year-old complainant filed the charges before the National Police Commission yesterday, according to Napolcom Vice Commissioner Rafael Calinisan.
He said the Napolcom would resolve the complaint within 60 days.
On Monday, criminal charges were filed against the 14 officers before the City Prosecutor’s Office in Bacoor.
PNP acting chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez said the PNP would conduct a separate investigation into the incident.
Eight of the officers were arrested on Sunday, while four have sent surrender feelers.
