Holidays declared for local festivities

MANILA, Philippines — Special non-working holidays have been declared in various parts of the country to allow residents to celebrate local festivities and anniversaries.
Malacañang issued Proclamation 1057 declaring Nov. 4 a special non-working day in San Carlos, Negros Occidental for the celebration of city’s annual festival.
Nov. 11 will be a special non-working day in Taysan, Batangas as provided under Proclamation 1058, for the commemoration of the town’s 107th founding anniversary.
Proclamation 1059 declared Nov. 11 a special non-working day in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan for the Puerto Princesa Underground River Day. The river was named as one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature in 2023.
Proclamation 1060 declared Nov. 12 a special non-working day in Gumaca, Quezon for the town’s founding anniversary.
Nov. 12 will also be a special non-working day in Tanay, Rizal as provided under Proclamation 1063 for the celebration of the 15th Hane Festival.
Proclamation 1061 declared Nov. 15 a special non-working day in San Jose, Dinagat Islands for the town’s 36th charter anniversary.
