MANILA, Philippines — The printing of over 90 million official ballots for the 2026 barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections (BSKE) is expected to be completed by mid-December, the Commission on Elections said yesterday.

Comelec Chairman George Garcia said the printing process, including verification, would take 45 days up to two months.

“We are printing this early so it would not get in the way of our preparations for the Bangsamoro parliamentary elections,” Garcia said, noting that the Comelec would handle two elections next year.

The Comelec, as ordered by the Supreme Court, will conduct the first parliamentary election in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao not later than March 31, 2026. It will also be conducting the BSKE in November next year.
