CIDG nabs another Harry Roque co-accused
MANILA, Philippines — Another co-accused in the qualified human trafficking case against former presidential spokesman Harry Roque and Cassandra Li Ong was arrested in Clark, Pampanga, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group reported yesterday.
CIDG director Maj. Gen. Nicolas Torre III, the incoming chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) said the suspect, identified only as Mariano, was apprehended by police tracker teams at the public safety division of Clark Development Corp. on Thursday.
A copy of the arrest order issued by Judge Rene Reyes of the Angeles City Regional Trial Court Branch 118 listed a certain Wharman Mariuano as among the co-accused of Roque and Ong in the case.
Torre said Mariano is one of the security guards on duty at the Lucky South 99, a Philippine offshore gaming operator hub in Porac town, when the alleged human trafficking happened.
