LTO suspends motovlogger’s license

MANILA, Philippines — After finding multiple traffic violations, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) suspended the driver’s license of Alyana Mari Aguinaldo, more popularly known as Yanna motovlog.
LTO chief Vigor Mendoza II confirmed that the social media personality was also fined P5,000 for operating a motorcycle without side mirrors and P2,000 for reckless driving.
Her license remains suspended until she complies with an order to surrender the motorcycle used in a “dangerous overtaking maneuver” in Zambales early this month.
In a seven-page decision, the LTO said the violations were documented in a video posted by Aguinaldo, which has since gone viral on social media.
The footage showed her overtaking a pickup truck without signaling while riding a motorcycle that lacks basic safety equipment, such as side mirrors.
The LTO also criticized her refusal to cooperate in the investigation.
“This noncompliance not only violates the instructions mandated by this Office but also demonstrates outright disrespect for established legal procedures and regulatory enforcement,” the decision read.
“As a motovlogger and content creator, (she) holds a heightened responsibility to set a positive example for her audience. Given her influence within the motorcycle community, such behavior risks normalizing dangerous practices among her followers,” it added.
The motorcycle used in the incident has since been placed under alarm and remains subject to seizure.
Its license plate, which is registered under Aguinaldo’s name, has also been suspended.
Law enforcement agencies have been ordered to apprehend Aguinaldo if she is found operating any motor vehicle while her license remains suspended.
