Kidnap victims’ remains found in Cavite

MANILA, Philippines —  The remains of a Chinese woman and her minor son, who were among nine people seized by armed men in Muntinlupa in 2023, were found in General Trias, Cavite on Friday.

Members of the police Anti-Kidnapping Group and local police exhumed the remains of Hong Rong Rong and her son at the Savannah Fields in Barangay San Francisco.

The victims were among six Chinese and three Filipinos seized by armed men in a village in Muntinlupa on Oct. 30, 2023.

The other four Chinese were found dead in the same year: two along Marilaque Highway in Tanay, Rizal on Nov. 1 and the others in Infanta, Quezon on Nov. 6.

The Filipinos were released in Calauan, Laguna several hours after the kidnapping.
