MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Sara Duterte has led the distribution of 1,117 certificates of landownership award (CLOAs) and emancipation patents as well as the turnover of infrastructure facilities and farm machineries and equipment to farmers in Cagayan Valley.

Sen. Imee Marcos and Agrarian Reform Secretary Conrado Estrella III accompanied Duterte during the event in Cauayan City, Isabela on Wednesday.

Estrella said the landholding, which covers 1,416.35 hectares, would benefit 901 agrarian reform beneficiaries in Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino.

He said 620 are electronic titles issued under the Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling project while  497 CLOAs were issued under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program.

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) said infrastructure facilities worth P230 million were turned over to the province of Isabela,  consisting of 17 farm-to-market roads, with a P33.8-million bridge project, and a P15-million road project in Cagayan.

Eighty farm machineries and equipment were also provided to 23 organizations in the region, benefitting 3,105 farmer-beneficiaries.

Estrella said the DAR targets to distribute the remaining one million land titles to farmer beneficiaries before President Marcos steps down in 2028.
