MANILA, Philippines — A member of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community and his cohorts allegedly robbed an Indonesian filmmaker in Quezon City on Wednesday.

Dhustine Rhaine Venezuela, also known as Tin, Arjay Gayanes and Richard Villacarlos were apprehended by operatives of the Project 6 police station based on the complaint of a 25-year-old Indonesian.

The suspects were collared in front of a store along EDSA in Barangay Ramon Magsaysay at around 2 a.m., police said.

The victim said he first met Venezuela through an online platform where the suspect posed as a woman.

The two agreed to meet in a hotel for sex in exchange for P5,000.

After having sex, Venezuela allegedly claimed to be a minor and demanded more money, warning the victim that he could be held criminally liable for sex with a minor.

Once outside the hotel, the other suspects appeared and ordered the victim to shell out P8,000.

After the victim said he had reached the maximum limit of daily cash withdrawals, the suspects took his iPhone 12 worth P35,000.

The foreigner sought assistance from police officers patrolling the area, which led to the arrest of the suspects.
