Listed as the most wanted person of the QCPD, Batoon is the subject of a warrant of arrest for rape issued by Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 86 Jude Roslyn Tria, who refused to grant bail.

Batoon was among the six wanted persons arrested in Quezon City on Thursday.

Meanwhile, a suspected robber was apprehended in Barangay Bahay Toro on Thursday at around 2:30 p.m.

The suspect, Ezra Angeles, 23, allegedly robbed two people of their cell phones worth P17,700 along a street in the same barangay at around 4:30 a.m.

Seized from the Angeles was an improvised pen gun that he used in the robbery. However, the victims’ cell phones were not recovered.

Complaints for robbery and violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, were filed against Angeles before the office of the city prosecutor.
