Chinese man held over fake Philippine visa

Ghio Ong - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — A Chinese man was arrested after presenting a falsified Philippine visa upon arriving at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Friday.

Bureau of Immigration officers stopped Lin Jingxiong, 30, who flew in from Singapore, from proceeding to the immigration counter after they found he was blacklisted in February for overstaying, the BI reported.

The bureau’s forensic documents laboratory confirmed that the visa Lin presented was not authentic.

Lin is being held at the BI’s detention facility in Taguig pending his deportation.  — Rudy Santos
