Ghio Ong - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Four stations of the Pasig River Ferry Service (PRFS) were closed for repairs, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced yesterday.

Maybunga station in Pasig, Valenzuela station in Makati and Lambingan and PUP stations in Manila were off-limits to commuters, according to the agency that currently manages the PRFS.

The stations’ pontoons or floating structures where passengers would disembark from ferry boats would be fixed, it added.

The Pinagbuhatan, Kalawaan and San Joaquin stations in Pasig City, Guadalupe in Makati, Hulo in Mandaluyong and Sta. Ana, Lawton, Quinta and Escolta in Manila will remain open, the MMDA said.

The agency assured commuters that it would post updates on PRFS operations.

Ferry rides remain free of charge, according to the MMDA.
