Pamintuan named acting CDC chairman
CLARK FREEPORT, Philippines — Malacañang has appointed lawyer Edgardo Pamintuan as acting chairman and member of the board of the Clark Development Corp. (CDC).
Pamintuan’s appointment was signed by President Marcos on Jan. 11.
The CDC, headed by its president and chief executive officer Agnes Devanadera, welcomed Pamintuan’s appointment.
“With him at the helm, we are confident that the board can continuously stir positive developments for the Freeport and for the corporation,” the state-owned firm said in a statement.
Pamintuan initially joined the CDC as chairman of the board in February 2021. He served as mayor of Angeles from 1992 to 1998, and from 2010 to 2019.
As a public servant for 27 years, Pamintuan has received multiple awards including the Order of Lakandula–Grand Cross, Rank of Bayani in April 2010, Presidential Award of Distinction in 2018 and Most Outstanding Mayor in 2012 and from 2014 to 2017.
